Santa Claus Art to Inspire Jolly or Quirky Ho-ho-holiday Posters
December 6, 2010
Combine a red, velvet suit with a snowy, white beard, a team of reindeer pulling a sleigh, and a jolly barrage of ho-ho-hos and it’s automatic: Santa Claus.
All over the world, in different times, people have imagined good ol’ Saint Nick in different ways. He’s been Father Christmas, Kris Kringle, an analogue of Saint Basil, a barbarian and… a shark? Yes, creative minds from different places have illustrated various versions of Santa Claus that can either melt your hearts, tickle your funny bones, or keep you awake at night.
We hope this collection of Santa Claus art examples by really creative artists from all over wake up the yuletide spirit in you. Maybe they might even inspire you to illustrate your own Santa Claus art for posters – perhaps for your own office or den, or as gifts to your Father Christmas-fan or Santa-skeptical friends.
